Recording

So far we have the separate music clips playing as the user presses the designated key. Andrew has also established how to stop a desired clip from playing - this will symbolize the removal of the fiducial corresponding to the instrument being removed.

I like the idea of creating interaction and a more personalised touch to this "orchestra" by recording your own beat boxing sound which is then saved and looped, however at this stage we should really concentrate on getting the basics working before we try to bite more than we can chew :)

However, incorportating a recording feature will be a nice add on to have, especially to provide the user with the ability of recording the orchestra sounds they have created themselves through the adding and removing of instruments through fiducials.

I'll look into incorporating the recording code into the existing code which loads the clips that we currently have and let you know in due course.

  1. UPDATE: sorted out recording feature...just have to make a few final touches since Windows, and apparently Processing don't like creating/saving/overwriting files as mp3 format..

  2. minim rather than windows, is causing problems to be fair, might have to load a new method; most likely javax.sound.sampled
