Guys
Instead of the PVC Panel, I suggest we print the Logos and other designs on mount boards which can be provided by my dads company. Since this is only a small fraction of the project I don't believe its worth spending 90+ euros on it.
These mount boards are 1.25mm thick and each board is 120*85cm large, which will allow us to cut the required pieces from it. I can get two boards to make sure we have enough, considering the cheap cost of € 3.00 per board. Since they will be covered, I think a plain white/cream should be good..Pls confirm?
Any queries just ask here :) Filkas we try meet up this week to finalize the design :)
Re: printing, what do you think we should do? Maybe try a good stationer near University? x tahsbu?
Your feedback is appreciated
Drew
hey drew, if my maths still functions correctly we would need 2 boards (one for the front, and a second to cut out the smaller side, back and internal panel.
ReplyDeletewhen it comes to printing, we dont need anything professional, we can simple print the design on regular printer paper from our homes, and stick them onto the panels jigsaw style..
As far as colour's concerned, i'd go for white if humanly possible, reason being: we don't have any design for internal panel, so the whiter the colour, the closer the match to the floor plank. (and the more luminous the webcam chamber)
If you think we can get all this stuff sorted, I'd suggest meeting at STC tomorrow to stick on the panels and close off the physical chapter.
(giving us one and a half weeks to prepare for presentation)
sounds good...for printing we could use photo paper aswell the images will look nice I guess
ReplyDeleteYep agree with the photo paper... will go to a stationer to do it mela... can anyone go up to uni or jc 2mrw morning? Im working so cant make it
ReplyDeleteWill bring two boards along tomorrow :)
good idea dar
ReplyDeleteif we are all agreed, here's a todo list:
1) Andrew: bring two sheets to STC tomo
2) Kevin: bring hammer, tnalja and nails to STC tomo
3) Volunteer to contact STC and book room 5 at 6pm (provided ppl are available at that time)
4) Volunteer to run down to a stationary and get the designs (front, back and side) printed on photopaper
Sounds good guys... :)
